Winter Show
Water Street Studios, Batavia, IL
Artist Reception - January 17, 6-10pm

I am happy my work was selected for the upcoming Winter Show at Water Street Studios, that is to open this Friday, January 17. Coincidentally, the juror for this exhibition was Lelde Kalmite, painter and gallery director of Bridgeport Art Center, where I also have a painting at this moment, in their 1st Annual Art Competition.

The watercolor that will be exhibited  at the Winter Show at Water Street is from my "Voyage" series, and belongs to a number of works that have the additional word Beginning in them. They are somewhat separated from my other "Voyage" pieces with their specific mossy-greens and Indian yellows...a sign of my need for light and color in these grayish winter days.

Tonight was the opening night and here are a few shots. It was a great turn up, the gallery was  crowded with visitors and the show was fantastic; so many amazing pieces..
