If you’re fortunate enough to have had a happy childhood, I think there is always a sense of longing for that beautiful, innocent, unspoiled, carefree time and place.

For me, that feeling is deeply connected to a few specific landscapes - the Adriatic coast and the Slovenian Alps. These paintings evoke the abundance, freshness, and almost dreamlike feeling of being surrounded by nature. My inspiration for the Reef Pod series stems from that initial childhood contact with the sea and marine life of Adriatic.
