MODERNIST OUTLOOK

exhibition of work by Taehoon Kim, Sally Ko and Ana Zanic
Opening Reception May 8th 6-9:30pm
exhibition runs May 8th-June 19th 2015

As my family and I are busy with moving into a new house this week, I am also getting ready for the upcoming three-person exhibition, opening on May 8th at the Gallery 19, in Chicago.

I have recently been contacted  by Tommy Reyes, the Gallery 19 director and owner (an artist himself), who was interested in showing my work after noticing it in a couple of exhibitions in Chicago. After my visit to the Gallery 19, and Tommy's visit to my studio, we selected the work and set the details.

This time around the focus of my work will be on my Nebula series in green/blue palette and I believe it will make an interesting counterpoint to the works of Taehoon Kim and Sally Ko

My "Origin" watercolors at the newly opened Loews Hotel, downtown Chicago

Here are a few images of my three large watercolors ("Origin I, II and III"), installed last month at the newly-opened Loews hotel, downtown Chicago.
The foyer where my pieces are displayed has a huge glass wall so it's full of light, which adds to the transparency and watery-flowing feel of the pieces.
The large paintings can also be seen from the street, so even if you are just strolling in the heart of downtown, any time of the day, you can catch a glimpse of my work!
